Roll on Spring

“Rolio i Lundain, Lundain, Lundain
Rolio i Lundain, Pen Bendigeidfran
‘Na ni, ‘na ni, dy dro di nawr.
‘Na ni, ‘na ni, dy dro di nawr.”

                               Cân Penrolio

Bendigeidfran’s head has moved on to Lampeter. On the eve of Imbolc, the Celtic celebration of the beginning of spring, the giant’s head was rolled down the motte of Castell Steffan, to join ‘Layers in the Landscape’, an exhibition of interdisciplinary ‘deep mapping’ work curated by Erin Kavanagh, in response to the lost landscapes of Cardigan Bay.
